Sound like an oxymoron? Massage only costs money, right? Not necessarily. While many people see massage as simply a luxury item, mounting research shows the health benefits of massage. Research also documents the toll that chronic stress takes on our health and our pocketbooks. The American Institute of Stress estimates that job-related stress costs American businesses $300 billion every year. This includes missed work time, workplace accidents, repetitive motion injuries, employee turnover, diminished productivity and direct costs of medical, legal, and insurance. |

1. Employees love it. Regular, on-site massage gives employees the immediate and reinforced message that you value and appreciate them. So much better than a coffee mug! 2.Stress Relief. The Touch Research Institute (TRI), University of Miami School of Medicine, has shown that clients receiving massage therapy reported lower job stress scores. 3. Pain Relief. Massage therapy has been shown to reduce pain from repetitive motions and to relax tense muscles. 4. Improved Productivity. |

I’m a planner by nature. I make lists. I file things. I take folders of information when we go on vacation. So when we got married a few years ago, I was organized. I had lists, notes, contracts, files, folders, appointments, delegated duties – I was all over this wedding planning thing. But in spite all that work, the days leading up to the wedding were still super stressful. Last Minute Changes! Out of town guests! The weather! In hindsight, I wish I’d taken more time to relax in the final days of planning. |
