​Runners and cyclists have long appreciated how bodywork can help them perform at their best. But it seems as though skiers and other winter athletes are just beginning to include massage and assisted stretching in their sports routine.

Sports Massage for Skiing
Here are a few of the benefits for skiers, boarders, and snowshoers:

* Feel more balanced and centered on your skis or board.

* Relieve tension in the ankles, calves, and low legs from hours in stiff boots.

* Reduce delayed onset muscle soreness after those early season days on the hill.

* Improve range of motion throughout your body, including shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles.

* Reduce muscle tension.
